Daiquiri

ice
45ml light rum
30ml lime juice
15ml sugar syrup
lime twist

Place ice, rum, lime juice and syrup in shaker, shake well to mix. Strain into a cocktail glass and garnish with lime twist.

Method for sugar syrup:

Combine 1 cup of white crystal sugar with 1 cup water in a small pan. Bring to the boil. Simmer, stir till sugar dissolved. Store the sugar syrup in a bottle in the refrigerator.
