Cranberry and Apple Juice

This ginger-flavoured, cleansing juice offers a fine balance of sweet and sour tastes.

Serves 4


Ingredients

4 eating apples
600ml/1 pint/ 2 and a half cups cranberry juice
2.5 cm/ in piece fresh root ginger, peeled and sliced


Method


Peel the apples, if you wish, then core and chop.Pour the cranberry juice into a food processor or blender. Add the chopped apples and sliced ginger and process for a few minutes until combined and fairly smooth. Served chilled.

Brightly coloured fruits, such as cranberries, contain valuable amounts of antioxidant vitamins, which are believed to have cancer-fighting properties.
