Café Brulot

Ingredients:


8 oz cognac
1 pint scalding hot coffee
2 sugar cubes
1 lemon peel cut in a spiral
1 orange peel cut in a spiral
8 cloves
1 chopped vanilla bean
2 cinnamon stick



Method:


Pour the brandy into a bowl; add one sugar cube, the cloves, vanilla, cinnamon, orange and lemon peel. Stir well and pour in the coffee. Soak the remaining cubes of sugar in cognac, place it on a spoon and light it. Dip the spoon containing the blazing cube into the coffee mixture, so that the flame spreads across the surface. Serve in small coffee cups.
