Glogg

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups Brandy
1/2 bottle Red Wine
4 Hole Cloves
2 Cardamom Pods - crushed
1 Cinnamon Stick
1/2 cup Raisins
1/2 cup Blanched Almonds
3/4 cup Sugar
2 tsp. Brown Sugar


Method:

Combine everything in a saucepan. Warm over medium heat, stir often to dissolve the sugar. Set the thing on fire and melting sugar cubes piled on a grate as you ladle the burning liquid over them. Once heated thoroughly reduce heat to low. Serve Warm.

I make glogg every year at Christmas. My recipe's a little different. I use aquavit instead of brandy. You left out the most important part; setting the thing on fire and melting sugar cubes piled on a grate as you ladle the burning liquid over them.
